Jormungandr

JormungandrJormungandr

Slicing through the icy north Atlantic in search of rich pillage and adventure, the Jormungandr - named after the mythic Norse serpent - is a historically accurate representation of an ancient Viking vessel.

With textures based on contemporaneous accounts of Viking boats, the Jormungandr has sails created by Viking women from diamond-shaped linen pieces edged in blood red leather. Wood, metal and leather war shields painted in authetic Viking motifs are at the ready for forays on the shore, and the sturdy ropes are made of walrus leather.
