SPELLBINDER is self-contained system for creating realistic energy & magickal FX directly in Poser, without the need to resort to postwork of any kind. LAMENT, the first installment in the SPELLBINDER series, comes with everything you need to take your sci fi and fantasy renders to the next level.
A wide selection of mix-and-match FX props make it easy to attach glow and beam FX to wands, hands, guns or any other prop you choose. Of course, amazing spell FX just beg for some really great magickal tools to cast them from: LAMENT OF THE SPELLBINDER wouldn’t be complete without the 2 meticulously scuplted wand props that ship with the product as well.
Traditionally, spell FX for Poser are treated billboard-type (flat) props or simply left as an item for postwork.SPELLBINDER?changes all that by giving you true 3D, fully volumetric special FX which can illuminate character and environment. All FX are fully procedural; so, you can create endless shader variants of your own.

- 2 Meticulously Crafted Wands?each hand sculpted in ZBRUSH as if carved by hand. Wand props are loaded with shaders for max realism and detail when rendered.
- 6 Glow FX Props?spherical FX designed to simulate energy blasts, soft candle glows, and spell casting FX.
- 7 Beam FX Props?linear and cone-shaped FX volumes perfect for fire, lightning, and laser FX.
- 13 FX Material Base Presets?allow you to customize and create variant FX of your own.
NOTES AND RESTRICTIONS
- Spherical FX can be viewed from any angle. Due to an unfortunate Poser shader limitation, Beam FX are currentlly designed for use only when viewed directly side-on, as seen in all my promos. An add-on product is planned which will attempt a work-around for this problem.
- Product is intended for use with Poser Pro and Poser 7 only. Not intended for use with DAZ Studio..
- All material presets are brightness-optimised for Poser Pro/7 to work with characters such as GND4 and advanced skin shaders.
- Poser Pro Users: please turn Gamma Correction OFF (uncheck it) in your render settings. Expert users please ignore.
