Peacocks are iconic birds that have long been prized for their beauty and spectacular display. While the three types of peafowl species - the Indian (Blue), the Javan (Green) and the Congo - normally occur in the wild, breeders have created variants which are known as "Spaldings". Nature can also cause "Variants" such as leucism. The white plumage is caused by a genetic defect which causes pigmentation not to transfer to the feathers. Leucism is not the same as albinism. Albinism is a genetic defect which causes an absence of melanin (but not other pigments); consequently, it is possible for an albino bird to still have some color.

This set includes the three of the most popular forms of Spalding; the usual hybridization (Indian x Javan), the Bronze Spalding (brown overall color) and the Pied Spalding (blue and green with white patches). This set also includes Indian peafowl in the leucistic form.

Songbird ReMix Peafowl recreates these wondrous birds for use in native DAZ Studio and Poser and supports Iray, Superfly, 3Delight and Firefly renderers.
