In Realms real and not, there is a blending, a fine line in which one crosses over or steps for a moment into the next.
Most do not know all those who did not make it to the big time. Such was Nate's fate. He really did not try to be so unpopular with his inventions, but there it was each time. One more item which gained the laughter of many, but not the fame of the next big discovery. He had spent his early years creating items in only sketch, showing them off with pride each time. There was the automatic eraser, the portable light, the egg splitter, and the list goes on. His friends would laugh, give him cheers and support, but none believed he would ever come up with something other than what could be used as a joke. With supportive friends, and parents he dared to try to build some of these things once he was an adult. He would invite friends over to watch it work. Work it would, perhaps for the first try, then it what ever it was would go wild and end up in a grand cleaning party.
One day, Nate announced he was working on a marvel of machinery and after 3 years of hard work he was done! His 3 seater auto was a work of art, but it wasn't the reception he received from his friends. It only has 3 seats!, they would laugh, and laugh. He spent the evening driving around a pair of friends at a time.
The next day he took the plans to the car to Ford. Just like his friends, he couldn't sell this concept car. Not for lack of trying. So his one of a kind car would be his, and his only. The big auto makers didn't care much for the three seater, but they did like the smooth lines of the body. It would be two more years before smooth body autos would make the scene, but now we know where the original concept came from. ----or do we?
